Prophet’s Mosque

المسجد النبوي

The spiritual heart of Madinah and the mosque established by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after the Hijrah.

Why this place matters

Masjid an-Nabawi stands at the center of Madinah’s sacred history. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ established the mosque after arriving in the city, and it became a place of prayer, learning, consultation and community life. The mosque has been expanded repeatedly across the centuries while remaining the focal point of a visit to Madinah.

Visiting today

Allow generous time, observe current access arrangements, and follow mosque guidance for Rawdah and other regulated areas.
